  • Some jobs have been lost due to technology (e.g. robots in industry)
  • Some jobs have changed due to technology (learning to use technology)
  • New opportunities in IT industry
  • Flexible working
  • Teleworking
  • Call centres (some abroad)
  • Hot desking

    Research 2 or 3 of the above in detail and discuss advantages and disadvantages of each. The focus of your discussion should be on what impact technology has had on our lives.

    Interview a family member and ask them how jobs have changed over time and the impact this has had on lives.
